On Saturday, April 20th, three members of the Kiwanis of Santa Maria Valley accompanied 36 Adam Elementary School KKids to the Santa Maria Animal Shelter to participate in the Camp HOPE project. Camp HOPE is a day camp to teach children about animal issues in their community and pet responsibility. The campers had a tour of the shelter, had a session with the shelter director, made dog treats and cat scratches.
